There are 12 medical reasons that justify qualifying for medical cannabis in the State of Florida:
Additionally, if you have a condition which gives similar symptoms, and that condition has been shown to be responsive to treatment with medical cannabis, you may still be able to qualify.
Set up an appointment for an evaluation. Please bring any medical records that may be relevant to your care. If our office decides that based on your history you are a good candidate for cannabis therapy we will register you with the State of Florida registry and place your first set of orders.
Our office recognizes the burden that certification entails. If you have been found to not have a qualifying condition after evaluation your payment will be refunded.
If you have had an evaluation and you have been certified you will receive an email within 24 hours from the State of Florida. Follow the link in the email to set up your patient portal. You will have to pay $75 to the State of Florida for your cannabis card. An email copy of your card is typically sent within one week.
Once you have an emailed copy of your card you can go to a local dispensary to discuss the different products offered and how they may be of benefit to you.
Both the medical card and orders have to be up to date in order to receive product at a dispensary.
The card has a yearly expiration date and renewal is managed on the portal. A yearly fee of $75 is required by the State of Florida.
Orders can only extend to seven months. Patients are required to renew their orders, in person, every seven months with a certifying physician.
